Boltgun 2 Steam Deck — Verified Status & Demo Tests

Boltgun 2 is Steam Deck Verified according to the developer’s One Week To Go announcement. A recent Steam Deck HQ roundup corroborates the badge. The collected demo impressions do not establish a guaranteed retail frame rate or battery duration.

Verified status for the sequel

The developer announcement explicitly identifies Boltgun 2 as Steam Deck Verified. Steam Deck HQ’s weekly roundup separately lists the sequel with the Verified badge. This is evidence about the sequel itself rather than the first Boltgun’s certification.

The Steam store overview links the correct sequel product. That product identification matters when older search results discuss another game. The verification statement is retained as of the research date without substituting an unrelated compatibility report.

What the demo previews show

Steam Deck HQ published hands-on impressions of the playable preview. The report distinguishes heavier combat from less demanding play. It is useful context for that demo build rather than a completed test of all retail campaign branches.

GearZone’s captioned short video also gives a positive handheld impression. That is a qualitative opinion about the demo’s feel. It does not measure frame-time consistency or prove the performance of every final mission.

Video test conditions

Deck Wizard’s preview description identifies a Steam Deck OLED and SteamOS 3.8.5. Its chapter list separates handheld play, settings and docked play. No numerical performance verdict is extracted here because the collected material does not reproduce the benchmark frames.

The different test contexts should remain attached to their reports. A device model, software version or preview build can affect what a performance claim actually describes. The settings page explains why there is no universal tested profile in this research.

Certification and a performance promise

The Verified badge answers the compatibility-status question. It does not by itself prove a locked frame rate, a fixed battery duration or identical results across every encounter. Those claims would require their own retail measurements.

The verified Steam demo provides a limited preview of the game. It cannot stand in for every environment across the branching campaign. Read the gameplay guide for the features established by official announcements.
