Boltgun 2 Best Weapons — Roles & Preview Evidence

No tested universal best-weapon ranking for Boltgun 2 was established in the dossier. Official sources describe different equipment for Malum and Nyra, while preview opinions concern the demo. The verified answer is a set of weapon roles rather than a measured retail tier list.

Start with the selected protagonist

Equipment differs according to the protagonist chosen for the campaign. The official overview identifies that distinction, and Nyra’s lead-designer article explains her separate toolset. A weapon comparison should therefore state which character’s arsenal it is describing.

The Malum overview covers his chainsword, charge and grenade context. The Nyra overview covers slide-and-leap mobility with her pistol, sword and explosive kit. Those role differences are more concrete than assigning either character a universal numerical advantage.

The officially named tools

The developer recap describes Bolters, Flamers, Stakethrowers and Shotguns across the available arsenals. Nyra’s design article also discusses flame weapons and the Melta Bomb. These establish equipment types without supplying a damage-per-second chart.

The official demo trailer names the Heavy Flamer and Boltgun in its captions. That is another source for advertised weapon identity. A promotional weapon name still does not identify the best choice against every enemy or prove a specific pickup location.

What preview preferences mean

Demo reports and a captioned review describe the weapons their authors experienced. Preferences in those sources are individual impressions of preview play. They are not a controlled test of every retail weapon on the same enemy and difficulty.

The dossier also does not establish the complete final damage model. Claims about changes to the original strength and toughness system describe simplification in preview coverage. They should not be turned into an invented set of unchanged or fully removed damage rules.

Weapon identity versus acquisition

The weapon locations page records which equipment names and demo observations are actually supported. It does not supply a complete retail pickup route. Keep that acquisition question separate from comparisons of intended combat role.

The difficulty guide also distinguishes reported presets from unverified scaling. Without final matchup data, a universal ranking would conceal those missing conditions. This page publishes the supported role context without assigning guessed statistics.
