The returning protagonist
The developer game page presents Malum as one of the two playable choices. His return connects the sequel with the original Boltgun story. The collected identity is a Sternguard Veteran of the Ultramarines, not a new unverified character class.
The character comparison places him alongside Nyra Veyrath. The official announcement describes selecting a protagonist for a campaign playthrough. That choice affects equipment and abilities within the disclosed solo experience.
Chainsword and Obliterating Charge
The chainsword returns as part of Malum’s announced kit. The developer describes using it to launch him toward an enemy. That gives it a movement role as well as its place in melee combat.
Obliterating Charge also returns with more power in the sequel announcement. A demo report describes the charge as part of his preview combat tools. These sources do not provide a verified damage value, cooldown or final upgrade path.
Grenades and arsenal context
The September feature recap identifies frag grenades in Malum’s kit. It also describes a broader arsenal across the protagonists, with weapons depending on the chosen character. The weapon overview separates these named tools from unverified retail pickup routes.
That context does not establish a universal best loadout. A preview preference is also different from a measured ranking of final weapons. The best weapons page keeps the supported answer focused on role distinctions.
The confirmed English actor
Auroch Digital’s FAQ identifies Rahul Kohli as Malum’s performer. The official Steam character material gives the same credit. The voice actor guide supplies the confirmed pairing without importing the original game’s complete cast.
Fan claims about defeating particular Chaos gods are not sequel story evidence. The dossier also establishes no exact regeneration amount or numerical tier position for Malum. His identity and announced tools are retained without that speculative layer.
